Troy Kingi

Musician and Actor Troy Kingi plans to release ten albums across ten genres in ten years. He kicked things off in 2016 with the 23-track Guitar Party at Uncles Bach, an album that went on to win Best Māori Pop Artist and Best Māori Male Solo Artist at the Waiata Māori Music Awards. He appeared the same year in New Zealands highest grossing film 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople'. As of 2019 Troy has released two further albums to critical acclaim.

For his first album Troy requested a retro seventies vibe with a similar look to some of the Funk and Soul Albums of that era. We went with a colour scheme that carried that vibe but would also see us into the future, melding well with his future releases which are totally different in nature. 2017’s album was psychedelic and 2019’s two releases, in English and Te Reo Māori, are Reggae. Upon every album release we build a new cover page that links to the main body of the site, and the bandcamp album sales page and which allows visitors to play the new-release single video, in page. We hold it up on site for a month before reverting back to the main site, shifting the album to the home page as a full width banner.
