One of the main requirements for the website was to have a feature rich forum that allowed for private groups, instant messaging, chat rooms and was accessible only to members who applied to join. The membership sign up and vetting process ensures that the forum is a safe space to share amongst others who also understand and can empathise. The public website front provides information on what to expect when signing up and is also a place for private members who are prepared to share their personal stories of loss as a way of reaching out to others who are looking for bereavement support.
